How to Download the Binance App on iPhone

If iPhone users want to use Binance for cryptocurrency trading, they first need to install the app on their phone. You can visit the official Binance website to learn about the latest download methods, and then get the official Binance app. For a more detailed iOS installation process, please refer to the iOS installation guide. Next, I will tell you all the available methods.

Why Downloading Binance on iPhone is More Complicated Than Android

Anyone who has used an Android phone knows that downloading Binance on Android is as simple as installing an APK directly. But iPhones are different. The iOS system is closed, and all apps must be installed through the App Store (unless jailbroken). However, due to relevant regulations, the Binance app cannot be found in the App Store of certain regions like Mainland China, which has caused a lot of trouble for Apple users.

But don't worry, there are still ways to do it. Currently, there are three main ways for Apple users to download the Binance app, and I will explain them one by one in detail.

Method 1: Download by Switching to an Overseas Apple ID

This is currently the most mainstream and stable method. The principle is very simple: since the App Store in your region doesn't have Binance, just switch to a region that does.

Step 1: Prepare an Overseas Apple ID

You need an Apple ID from a region outside Mainland China. It is recommended to use an Apple ID from the US or Hong Kong region. You can register one yourself, or use a trusted shared ID (though this is not recommended due to security risks).

The process to register an overseas Apple ID yourself:

  1. Open the Apple ID creation page on the official Apple website
  2. Select the region as "United States" or "Hong Kong"
  3. Fill in your email, password, and other information
  4. Complete the email verification

Note: Once you select the region during registration, do not change it easily, because if you change it back, the apps you downloaded previously may not be able to update.

Step 2: Switch Accounts in the App Store

Open the App Store on your iPhone:

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Scroll to the very bottom and tap "Sign Out"
  3. Log in with the overseas Apple ID you prepared
  4. If a "Review" prompt pops up, just agree to the terms

Step 3: Search and Download Binance

After logging into the overseas Apple ID, search for "Binance" in the App Store, and you will see the official Binance app. Tap the "Get" button to download and install it.

Once the download is complete, remember to switch back to your own Apple ID, so it won't affect the normal use and updates of your other apps.

Important Notes

  • Switching your Apple ID will not affect the data and apps already on your phone
  • The downloaded Binance app can still be used normally after switching back to your original region's Apple ID
  • However, when updating the Binance app, you will need to switch back to the overseas ID again

Method 2: Install via TestFlight

TestFlight is Apple's official app testing platform. Binance sometimes distributes its app through TestFlight, and this installation method is also quite convenient.

Specific Steps

  1. First, download and install "TestFlight" from the App Store (this can be searched in any region)
  2. Get the Binance TestFlight invitation link (obtained through the official Binance website)
  3. Open the invitation link in the Safari browser
  4. The system will automatically redirect to TestFlight
  5. Tap the "Install" button to complete the installation

The advantage of the TestFlight method is that it doesn't require switching Apple IDs, and the operation is relatively simple. The downside is that TestFlight quotas are limited, and you might encounter a "Testing is full" prompt.

Method 3: Use the Web Version

If you find the above two methods too troublesome, you can directly use the Safari browser to visit the Binance web version for trading. Although the web version is not as smooth as the app, the features are basically complete.

You can open the official Binance website in Safari, then tap "Add to Home Screen". This will create a shortcut icon on your desktop, providing a user experience close to the native app.

Basic Settings After Download and Installation

Open the App and Register/Log In

After the installation is complete, tap the Binance icon on the desktop to open the app. New users should select "Register", while existing users can directly "Log In".

Enable Face ID Login

A major advantage of iPhones is Face ID. By enabling Face ID login in the security settings of the Binance app, you only need to scan your face every time you open the app, which is both convenient and secure.

Setting path: Profile → Security → Face ID → Enable

Enable Push Notifications

It is recommended to enable Binance push notifications. This way, when important events occur, such as your order being executed or abnormal logins to your account, you can receive alerts immediately.

Setting path: iPhone Settings → Notifications → Binance → Allow Notifications

Set a Trading Password

In addition to the login password, it is recommended to set an extra trading password. You will need to enter it when performing transfer and withdrawal operations, adding an extra layer of security.

Common Issues When Installing Binance on iPhone

Prompt "This item is no longer available" During Download

This is usually because the Binance app is not listed in your current Apple ID's region. The solution is to switch to an Apple ID in a region that has Binance, and then download it.

Download is Extremely Slow or Stuck

This may be a network issue. Try to:

  • Switch to a Wi-Fi network
  • Disconnect from Wi-Fi and try using mobile data
  • Pause the download and then resume it
  • Restart the App Store (double-click the Home button or swipe up to close it, then reopen it)

App Crashes Upon Opening After Installation

First, check if your iOS version meets the requirements (usually iOS 13.0 or above is required). If the version is sufficient and it still crashes, you can try to:

  • Restart your iPhone
  • Uninstall the app and then reinstall it
  • Check if your iPhone has enough storage space

Prompt Requires Another Apple ID When Updating

This is because you used an overseas Apple ID to download Binance, and you need to use the same ID when updating. Just switch to the overseas Apple ID you used for the initial download, and then you can update it.

Security Reminders

When downloading Binance on your iPhone, you must pay attention to the following points:

  1. Do not use Apple IDs of unknown origin: Some people share Apple IDs online for everyone to use to download apps. Such shared IDs pose huge security risks, and the other party may lock your device.

  2. Do not install enterprise certificate versions: Some websites offer so-called "enterprise versions" of the Binance app that can be installed without switching Apple IDs. These apps are often not officially released and may have hidden security risks.

  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication on your iPhone: Make sure your Apple ID has two-factor authentication enabled to prevent your account from being stolen.

  4. Beware of phishing links: Do not click on "Binance download" links from unknown sources; always get the download address through official channels.

Compatibility Across Different iPhone Models

The Binance app has excellent compatibility with iPhones. All models from the iPhone 6s onwards can install and use it normally. Specifically:

  • iPhone 6s/7/8 Series: Can be installed, but due to older hardware, pages that require more computing power, like K-line charts, may experience slight lag.
  • iPhone X/XS/XR Series: Runs completely smoothly.
  • iPhone 11/12/13 Series: Runs very smoothly with fast Face ID recognition.
  • iPhone 14/15/16 Series: Best experience, all features can be used perfectly.

The minimum system requirement is iOS 13.0, but it is recommended to upgrade to the latest iOS version as much as possible to get the best experience and security.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Will switching my Apple ID cause me to lose data on my phone?

No. Switching the Apple ID in the App Store will not affect any data on your phone, such as photos, contacts, or WeChat chat history. It only affects the download and update functions of the App Store.

Q2: Is there a fee to download the Binance app?

The Binance app is free. Downloading it from the App Store in any region requires no payment. If someone tells you that you need to pay to download it, they are a scammer.

Q3: Can I still use Binance after switching back to my Chinese region ID?

Yes. Once the download and installation are complete, you can safely switch back to your original region's Apple ID. The installed Binance app will not be affected, and opening and using it will be normal. The only thing to note is that you will need to switch back to the overseas ID again the next time you update the app.

Q4: Does the Binance app consume a lot of battery on the iPhone?

Normal use will not be particularly power-hungry. But if you keep the real-time market page open for a long time, the power consumption will be slightly higher than normal apps because the data is constantly refreshing. It is recommended to put the app in the background or close it when you are not looking at the market.

Q5: Can I download Binance on a jailbroken iPhone?

Technically yes, but it is strongly discouraged. The security of a jailbroken iPhone is greatly compromised, and it is highly risky to use financial apps on it. Moreover, the Binance app may detect the jailbroken environment and restrict certain features. It is recommended to use an unjailbroken iPhone.
